Biotech Place – Winston-Salem, NC

Part of a multi-building complex in downtown Winston-Salem, NC, Wake Forest Biotech Place is a 242,000 square foot historic structure comprised of a former R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. warehouse that has been redeveloped into a $90 million project to a modern biotech research facility.  Wexford Equities of Baltimore was the developer, with the Wake Forest University Medical Center the major tenant.  The project utilized North Carolina Mill Rehabilitation Tax Credits as well as Federal Historic Tax Credits.
