The Historic Tax Credit Coalition Elects its New Chair

Prior to the New Year, the Historic Tax Credit Coalition’s Board of Directors elected Merrill Hoopengardner to serve as its Chair, following the retirement of founding Chairman and lifetime HTC advocate, John Leith-Tetrault.  Merrill serves as the President of the National Trust Community Investment Corporation, where she directs fundraising and acquisitions opportunities, develops and implements overall strategy and new lines of business for the company and coordinates governing board/staff relations. She has over 19 years of experience in community development finance that includes the structuring and closing of over $1 billion utilizing Historic, New Markets, and Low Income Housing Tax Credits.

The Coalition will continue its industry-leading advocacy under Merrill’s leadership.
